Ballroom Break Dance Studio was formed in 1988 by Frederic Shipley and Deborah Davis. They felt there was a need in the Greater Harrisburg area to provide good quality dance lessons at an affordable price; to keep it practical by offering group lessons at various locations including HACC; and most of all to keep it fun, because that's what dancing is all about -- fun!
Frederic and Deborah are both registered with the National Dance Council of America and are certified by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance as teachers, competing professionals and adjudicators. They have over 50 years of combined teaching experience.
Deborah is listed in Marqui's Who's Who In American Women since 1993 and the National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals since 2003. Deborah is also an instructor at Penn State University and Harrisburg Area Community College.
